The damages to this machine are to the main base section and at least one, possibly two, intermediate sections. The operator of this unit was picking up a concrete can when apparently it hung on the side of a structure. The operator continued to attempt to wind the cable in and lift, which caused undue stress on the boom. The LMI was operating properly, and the operator pushed the override button several times, which caused a significant overload and failure to the main base section. There does not appear to be any other damage to this unit.
